I live only 8 minutes from the small-town of Rowley, Iowa, which stakes its claim as "Iowa's best kept secret." After five years here, I'm still not sure. Also, I'm not sure how effectively fashioned that corn belt is; I've seen at least one other town also claiming to be the buckle. As for your hunch regarding Stamats, can it be only coincidence that headquarters are Cedar Rapids, Iowa, "the city of five seasons?" Those catchy slogans spread a bit further west, too.
